This song was an instrumental piece I recorded at my house and then redeveloped for the band. The refrain "You can't hold back on love" was in my head for days, and became the basis of the song. I was inspired by Death Cab's song "What Sarah Said" and The Smiths "Death of a Disco Dancer". I liked the idea of a repeating refrain. Please pass this song along...Aaron

Rust Belt Ballad

The lyrics of this song were written at a time when it felt like the next Great Depression was about to hit. I was searching for inspiration and stumbled across Woody Gutherie's "Dust Bowl Ballads". I loved the imagery and went to create my own updated version.

Here is another gem of a song from the next record "Stay Epic". I wrote this song really fast at my house one night. The whole thing came together like magic.

I used this really creepy synth sample as I was trying to replicate that haunting Twin Peaks sound. I love how the finished product came out. Much credit to the fine editing skills of Adam Taylor who found the gold in this track.

Hope you enjoy and make sure to pass it along to all your friends,
